Working with the wine industry of Northern California is very expressive and creative. Every campaign requires a look, a hook, a joie de vivre. I currently do three events a year for a large group of wineries in the Glen Ellen, Kenwood area. Heart of Sonoma Valley winery association allows me the space to create at will, with minimal direction. Each event branding is spun out into posters, postcards, programs, maps, advertising, web images, email images, and social media images, all spin offs of the original piece, but still relating to each other, with the same visual treatments.
Goffengel Workshop began creating Popup photobooks, and greeting cards in 2005. We currently stock and sell four of our popup photobooks, both wholesale and retail. For wholesale inquiries please drop a note to email@example.com, for retail purchases please visit our store front at Amazon.com.
I have written and engineered my first popup story book, called Delphinia's Birthday, and I am currently looking for an agent to represent me. I would love to finally be published.
Valette Healdsburg is the creation of former Dry Creek Kitchen Executive Chef, Dustin Valette, and his brother, former restaurant manager for Francis Ford Coppola's "Rustic", Aaron Garzini. Valette Healdsburg resides in the former "Zin" space.
I have had the pleasure of branding the company with a variation on the Chefs own signature. Of course it more resembles my handwriting than it does Dustins, but that is what happens when you sign someone else's name one hundred times.
On top of branding I have done a website for the restaurant, valettehealdsburg.com, giving the website a big and bold look that is entertaining to the eye.
While working on the branding I became involved with the signage, which led to the exterior of the building itself. I proposed many variations on the simple, and inexpensive update for the frontage, and although I prefer the tone on tone with awnings, the final image is the direction for the look of the space. Men and wood... they just hate to paint it!
Logo's and company identification are one of my favorite realms to work in. I listen to the clients needs and then run in unusual directions, always landing in a comfortable zone that is a little outside the box, and yet visually stunning and interesting.
Forms, flyers, and brochures do not have to be boring, nor over the top full of too much imagery and text. I love to work with combinations of different fonts and subtle color to get just the right amount of information on the page, without overwhelming the viewer.
Sometimes a spinoff, sometimes a one off, postcards and rack cards are an important part of any marketing campaign. These are examples of some of the little gems I have created. I also love the art of a map. Every winery event usually involves a map, and I find artful ways of helping the customer find their way.
Designing for larger Corporations requires a different hand, a different mindset, and although I do always show options that interject my bolder style, subtly and a light touch can be just the right approach.
A whole new world has opened up, currently including the states of Washington and Colorado. I have branded my first cannabis grower and look forward to doing more as they receive their long awaited licenses. For Chicken Barn farms I have created their company logo, along with business cards, packaging, T-shirts, and their company website. www.chickenbarnfarms.com
I have done my homework and understand the rules and regulations, and the do's and don'ts. I can help you through the process and give your company the look it deserves.
Everything else is a place where I have put odd or interesting projects. Greeting cards and sketches created on the computer are favorite pastimes. Drawing caricatures of people is an art in itself, I enjoy using my drawing program to pull just the right amount of likeness into a face.
